What is the ‘New Atlantic Wave’

The ‘New Atlantic Wave’ describes the new generation of artists and makers who have gathered together along the Northern coast of Devon. When J.M.W. Turner drew sketches along the North Devon coast in 1811 little could he have imagined the same landscape would now be the home of a new wave of artists and makers. This new generation of largely women creatives have taken his landscape tradition and his later experimental nature to address contemporary visions inspired by the landscape, and things found in it.

The New Atlantic Wave landed in London at the Affordable Art fair in Battersea Park from 18-22 October 2023. Read more about it here.
