Description Mackerel Medley is one of many illustrations from my Fabulously Fishy collection. This is an A4 print on heavyweight (250 gsm) matt paper. The original painting was created using pen and inks. Mackerel are richly colourful and highly patterned fish. I love their markings, which are quite individual to each fish and so wanted to create an image which displayed this. My aim was to capture the richness of their colouring by using inks to paint, prussian blues and indigo ink have such rich pigments, which i feel, have enabled me to portary this in my illustration.
