Zahrah Bubastis

I paint thoughts, feelings, dreams and myths and stories that fascinate me. I like to work in near darkness, chiaroscuro in action, so that when I bring the finished art into light, it feels like I have seen it for the first time. 
My method involves working layers of colour and texture which I then scribble, scratch and draw into, and pour ink or other liquid that might remove some of what I have placed on the surface.
