Art Upstairs opening on 29 July 2023 at 1st Floor 24 The Quay, Bideford, Ex39 2EZ.
ArtMakers is excited to announce that our new gallery, ‘Art Upstairs’ for local artist and makers will open at the end of July.
Situated above Regency estate Agents on the Quay in Bideford this a perfect location. The Quay is the main thoroughfare within Bideford and Art Upstairs provides a new focus on this busy road. The spacious room flooded with natural light even on a gray day makes for a great gallery space. With a semi-industrial look and modern lighting it provides a contemporary feel for local artworks.
‘Openings’ the first exhibition in ‘Art Upstairs’ will be only the second time ArtMakers has created a live exhibition. It follows the success of the Appledore Book Festival ‘New Atlantic Wave’ exhibition last year. There are over 30 works from over 20 local artists and makers. They range in style from traditional seascapes through figurative art to Abstraction. The paintings are complimented by expressive works in textiles, rope, and jewellery.
