Indian Miniature Painting Courses with Samantha Buckley

These 3 day inspirational workshops based in the idyllic location of Moor and Sea Holidays on Exmoor, will introduce students to the beautiful technique of Indian miniature painting. Taking inspiration from the surrounding landscape and the Mughal art of capturing nature students will have the opportunity of creating their own unique painting. from preparation, staining and burnishing surfaces, next is an introduction to pigments, how to prepare them through to how to paint with them and use the technique of colour flooding. The final stage is to create the fine detail using the technique known as Prataj, invisible shading using a unique brush found only in India. All materials, lunch each day and refreshments are included.
