ArtMakers’ fourth year built on and expanded our work in northern Devon supporting the New Atlantic Wave of artists and makers. It saw the gallery ‘Art Upstairs’ in Bideford enter its third year. We staged over seven exhibitions including the fourth at Arlington Book Fair, and several events at the National Trust managed Arlington Court.
We continued to provide virtual exhibitions of all the gallery shows providing online access to people across the globe.
March saw the launch of the annual Appledore Book Festival programme cover competition. It was won this year by Sarah Lockett a local artist specialising in seascapes.
The summer saw a charity exhibition on behalf of Children’s Hospice South West and the return to St Mary’s Hall Appledore for the New Atlantic Wave’s largest exhibition of the year attracting over 1600 visitors.
