Tessellae Celebration is a ceramic wall piece, consisting of 9 porcelain tessellae, or small tiles. Each one is about 3 cms square and colourfully glazed and set with molten glass. The whole piece is arranged in a box frame 25 x 25 cms. It is designed to be displayed alone or in a grouping of several pieces. It is inspired by the small tiles produced by the Romans, and it celebrates Springtime and the renewal of vivid flowers and insects.
